Updating Your Profile Information

You can manage your basic profile information, such as your display name and profile picture, from your dashboard.

Steps to Update Your Profile:

1. Navigate to Your Profile Page:
* Log in to your Starblack Media Academy account.
* Once on your dashboard, click on your avatar (or initials) located in the top navigation bar (header area).
* From the dropdown menu, select "Profile".

2. Updating Your Profile Picture:
* On your Profile page, you'll see your current avatar.
* Click the camera icon or "Change Picture" button associated with your avatar.
* This will open a file selection dialog. Choose an image file (e.g., JPG, PNG) from your computer.
* A preview of the selected image will appear.
* Click the "Save Picture" button to upload and apply the new profile picture.
* You should see a success message, and your avatar will update across the platform.

3. Updating Your Display Name (Coming Soon):
* The ability to directly edit your display name from the profile page is a feature we are working on.
* Currently, your display name is set during signup. If you need to change it, please contact support for assistance.

4. Changing Your Email Address or Password:
* To change your sign-in email address or your password, navigate to Dashboard > Settings.
* You will find separate options there for "Change Email Address" and "Change Password." Follow the on-screen instructions for those processes.

Keeping your profile information current helps personalize your experience and ensures instructors and fellow students can identify you.
